So tonight at Splash is going to be outrageous. I am co-hosting a party with DJ Steve Sidewalk, Austin Helms, and Justin Luke. Miss Jackie Coxx (as Britney) and Frostie Flakes (as Gaga) will also be in attendance to battle it out :) Splash will also be showing the world premiere of Britney’s “Hold It Against Me ” Video.

MTV will be there (at 9:30) to tape fans reactions. Personally, I am a HUGE Britney fan and have been anticipating this day for a while. I will also be giving out some prizes from VAINStyle Magazine. Its gonna be a KILLER night and one you definitely shouldn’ miss. Hope to see you Brit fans there!

A special Showt Out goes to editor-in-chief Ty Kuppig who threw one hell of a bash! Of course I cant forget to mention that once again Industry Bar was the perfect venue for this event. Industry is proving to be the it place for the social gay crowd. In attendance was the best of the best including A-list New York Star Ryan Nickulas, Real Housewife of New York Sonja Morgan and Recent NEXT magazine cover model Derek Allen.

Soo excited to be joining some of my Outspoken boys for this fantastic launch party tonight at Industry Bar. The Showt (in their words) is

Well that sounds good to me. I mean being Fabulous is a full time job so I will take any help I can get. The Editor-in- Chief of the SHOWT is the Sexy, Handsome and Just plain HOT Ty Kuppig. Say HELLO to TY…..

Ty is the man throwing the launch party for this fab website tonight. I mean if this is the face thats behind the SHOWT that is enough to gain my love and support. I mean he looks like he lives a pretty Fab Life so I will take whatever insights on Gay New York he is giving. I actually previously had written about a HOT TIP the Showt had given me and the story is still one I tell today.

Last night I got to attend a fab book launch for the incredible Johnny Weir! It was a uber-chic event and I was so honored to be personally invited by Johnny. I want to first talk about the fact that Johnny showed up looking as FIERCE as ever. Hair done, smokey eye and of course a incredible jacket with a mile high collar.

Can Someone say I DIE…Cause I did!!

I really believe every LGBTQ should run out and buy Johnny’s book, why you ask…

1. As a community we should all support one another

2. Cause the cover is KILLER

3. Because TJ said so, DUH

4. And because It takes some balls to be able to OUT yourself to the world in a memoir

I just started reading it and am already LOVING it and cant wait to recap it for everyone when I am finished.

It was also great to be able to go to this event with fellow A-List Cast Members Derek and Ryan…Love these bitches!!

Things To Do Throughout Your Snowpocalypse

Much to chagrin of New York, the Weather Channel’s readings were far from off. Not only did we get some snow that could validate a possible day or two off from work, we got a good heap that has either kept up locked in our apartments, stuck at the terminal or eating two day old left-overs by the bundle. In regards to keeping ourselves sane, I figured I’d write a mini survival guide on surviving the next 24-48 hours:

Drink to Stay Warm: You stocked up on liquor for that holiday party? You do realize there’s a liquor store on every other corner (especially in Hell’s Kitchen). Why not crack open a bottle & keep toasty.
Game-Player: Instead of your usual mind-games with the gays, put that Wii to use, dust off the old Scrabble board & go to town…maybe a studly neighbor is around to keep you company (this could piggyback onto number 1).
New York Times Catch-Up: All the time you didn’t have to stay relevant with what’s going on in the world, now is the perfect time to catch up & look a little worldly in your office conversations.
Oh Fuck It, Make the Bucket: Make a bucket-list. You’re gonna die sometime anyway - why not get a jump start on what you’d like to achieve before you bite the dust. You could get into a ski-accident or hit by an icy cab crossing the street. Start early!
Denied: Lead people on Grindr to think you’ll head out in the chilly weather to no avail. While you’re at it, use the AT&T service for the deaf to make some crank calls(**).
Get Naked: Home alone? Naked dance parties are what being home alone is all about. If you’re too self-conscious for this, you must be the type who needs to sleep with people in the dark.
Scrapbook with Facebook: Start a scrapbook of all your favorite debaucherous NYC moments with your friends. Couldn’t hurt to share with the grandkids later in life.
N-e-t-f-l-i-x: What better timing will you have to clear out your Netflix queue or DVR’ed trash tv? Use your time wisely.
Book It: You rarely find the right time to actually dive into a good book these days, be it from lack of drive on the morning or evening commutes, work or no time at home. Pick out 3 books you have really been dying to soak up & go to town.
Jillian Michaels/P90X: If you have DVR options, downloading capabilities or a strong hankering to sweat it out - dive into a home-workout. You seriously don’t need all the equipment at the gym to get in some creatively spun out cardio from either of these (or if you read Men’s Health, rather than just looking at the toned physiques and diet trends). Put your yoga-mat stocking stuffer to good use.
Tweet Up: For all y’all TAWKAS up in HERE - ya know, the NYC gays reign Twitterdom. Hop on, talk, gossip, berate…it’s all in good fun, no?
Productive Patty: Clean out your junk emails, get ahead with your bills, get some office work done at home & stay afloat. Not only will your boss be impressed with how productive you were while stuck in your bed, but you will feel positive, productive & fulfilled by doing so.
Spa-Day: I know I am putting my Mario Badescu products to work today. A day of self-grooming will keep you replenished, refreshed & feeling like brand new come Tuesday. Let’s just hope you’re out of your house by then…
The Terminal: Stuck at the airport? This is what those little shops are for. Not only can you buy travel-sized booze to keep your head in the clear (or the opposite), you can put those tabloid crosswords to use, try out new products (cologne samples, anyone?) but you can also use this time to charge up, carb it up & use your feelings to self-indulge a bit. We have all ate & spent our feelings one time or another…

OutSpokenNYC's Industrial Night Out

Usually it takes a minute (or a month) for a new bar to generate the kind of buzz to fill it to capacity.

Not so with Hell’s Kitchen’s palatial new watering hole and drag-friendly stage space, Industry Bar, which held its grand opening party last night, co-hosted but your favorite OutSpokenNYC bloggers!

TJ, Jon, Tyler, Dan, Stevie, Calvin and myself (Tommy) were all on hand when the doors officially opened at Industry Bar last night, and it took all of 10 minutes for the gorgeous new space to rev into full-fledged party mode.

We’ll be posting a slideshow soon, but if you were one of the three gays in NYC not able to make it to the party (it really was packed by 10 pm and stayed that way well past midnight), just imagine a space roughly the size of Boxer, but with a large stage, lots of sectioned off lounge areas with comfy, Chesterfield-style sofas, a pool table, a stylish faux-fireplace that emits actual heat and a loaded bar manned by studly, suspendered drink slingers, all doused in warm mood lighting that’s extra welcome this time of year.

Our tweet-up started at 8 pm, just as the doors opened, and many of you approached us to say hello! Our good friend Andrew Werner, of Andrew Werner Photography, helped us celebrate and document the scene, while our from Logo’s The A-List: New York (the lovable Ryan Nickulas and always-dapper Mike Ruiz, whose birthday bash will be held at Industry tonight) also stopped in to ring in the occasion and show support for OutSpokenNYC and fellow A-List castmate, TJ.

Also on hand were a bunch of our sexy friends and early followers/readers, who we had the pleasure to meet in person and gossip with: Oscar (@OscLimon), Michael (@TheGayGourmet), Jake (@omgjakesaid), Keith (@Keith_Stewart), Adam (@adamw4), Lex (@LexEvan), Terence (@NYSocialBee), Zach (@zbruno02), Carson (@FashionFuturist) and of course, Devin (@devinguinn), just to name a few! Thanks to everyone for showing support for our new site.

We at OutSpokenNYC have BIG plans for the next month. A lot has been going on behind the scenes that we’re not at liberty to share yet, but trust us: last night was the beginning. Watch out for huge new changes to the site (for the better, we promise), deeper, faster and more cohesive coverage of news and nightlife, a greater OutSpokenNYC presence across media platforms, and an official launch event in early 2011. It’s gonna be HUGE, ladies.

Another Saturday rolls in and rather than staying in to self-loathe for my high-calorie intake from a festively fat Thanksgiving, let alone a lack of Black Friday purchases, I found myself on the town with the usual suspects - OutSpokenNYC’s TJ, Dan & Tommy. The boys and I wandered up the frigid streets of New York and over to Club57’s Saturday night POPular party where the booze was ever flowing and the scantily-clad dancers were a poppin’ (out, to be graphic). Mingled with characters, new and old alike, but there were only a few who stuck out in my mind. Kenny Kenny spat out dry-banter to the queens emerging from the gates beyond, either with mouths full of glitter or vomit (both if you’re Ke$ha). “Dahling! Look at ya pupils! Ya look like the owl in the Tootsie Pop commercial. A-ONE, A-TWO, A-THREE!” our delectable diva dished, TJ almost in tears from sheer joy that he wasn’t the only one snarking about. Having a proper send-off from a flame-thrower was a perfect way to bid 57 adieu and to call it a night. Much love to Tony Fornabaio & Brandon L Voss for a night out on the town!

On Friday Calvin, Dan, Myself and Some other Friends went to the Burlesque Soundtrack Release Party at Rockit Black Friday!! We danced the night away and had a BLAST!! This is the place to be on Friday Nights and I highly recommend checking it out if you haven’t done so already. The REASON this party is so HOT is because the people hosting the party are Tony Fornabaio and Brandon L Voss. These Guys are Party Masters and so far I Have Not been to one of there Parties and walked away disappointed. Actually everytime I go to one of there nights I am left WANTING MORE!! They are also both Super Sexy and Extremely Sweet Guys. You also can always tell its a hot party when the talented Andrew Werner is there snapping photos…He is always the photographer at the HOT SPOTS in NYC!!
